Hang on for a minute...we're trying to find some more stories you might like.

The boys lacrosse 2018 season has been going very well with a rare first six game winning streak almost ever. Senior Vinny Romano has had a very memorable season.

It’s going great, about how we predicted it would go at the beginning of the season,”  Romano said. “The Center Grove game was my favorite because it had a deep emotional connection to my family, since the first time we played my dad collapsed with a heart attack. We were able to secure the win and it just meant a lot to my family and I.”

It took a lot for the team to prepare for games like practices and watching college games in their free time. The team also takes the times to prepare for games in the chapel.

“We go to the chapel before every game and individually listen to ‘Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue’ before every game,” Romano said.

The 2019 season will feel odd without Romano there. He’s contributed a lot to the team and the family aspect of it. Romano gives advice to the underclassman next year.

“Make sure to try hard because in the end you want to be that guy that breaks the next goal, or makes the perfect pass because you’re going to look back on these times and remember them for the rest of your life,” Romano said.

The team hopes to do as well as they did this year. Hopefully that can happen.
