Hang on for a minute...we're trying to find some more stories you might like.

The business office not long ago contacted senior Jaidly Ansico for a painting that will be displayed in the business office. Ansico has been passionate about artistic and creative painting for a long time, but this is the first time that he has taken on an art project this big.

“I got an email from the business office and asked me to paint a canvas for them,” Ansico said.

The painting, “The Spirit of Roncalli,” will be the biggest canvas that Ansico has painted before and so far from his Instagram account “@”, it is looking to be an extraordinary painting. Ansico has been posting the progress of the painting on an Instagram account he has devoted to his art.

“I’ve always been an artist. Ever since I could remember I have been drawing,” Anciso said. “When I was a kid my mom bought me a thousand page book with artists and their works.”

Ansico’s influence when he was first starting out with drawing was Leonardo Da Vinci but later was inspired by Pablo Picasso. He takes a lot of advanced classes for his passion of drawing and animation like Advanced Drawing and AP art. Ansico is hoping that this project will accelerate him to taking on bigger projects for his passion of art.

“I plan to go to an art school and study animation. After college I would want to for big companies like  Disney and Pixar,” Ansico said. “I want to do is make my drawings come to life. To the point where my work moves people in a positive way and inspires them”.

Looks to be as if Ansico is making a great reputation as an artist around the school and “The Spirit of Roncalli” will boost his status for what he is hoping to pursue.
