Q.What advice would you give students who want to become teachers?
A. “Love the children first, and then teach them.” Saint Mother Theodore Guerin
Q. What made you want to become an assistant band director?
A. I had the most amazing experience in my high school band program. This inspired me to go to Indiana State University and get a degree in Music Education. I taught elementary general music until last year, which I enjoyed, but I’ve always been a band kid at heart. I am so excited to get the opportunity to teach band at Roncalli and the South Deanery schools!
Q. What’s your favorite movie?
A. Lilo and Stitch
Q. What’s your favorite food?
A. Olive Garden Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken
Q. Why did you start the middle school band night?
A. I started Middle School Band Night to give the students more instructional time (since I only see them once a week), help them become familiar with Mrs. Gottman and the Roncalli band room, and to get them excited about being in band
