New choir teacher, loves sharing choral music with others

Q. What advice would you give students who want to become teachers?

A. I always suggest that students not only shadow a teacher (level and specialty they’re interested in) but also interview multiple people in that field. You don’t know what the reality of a job looks like until you experience it! I also say DO IT! Teaching is so rewarding

Q. What made you want to become a teacher?

A. I became a choir director because nothing makes my heart happier than sharing choral music with people. Singing is my passion and I had an incredible experience as a high school and collegiate choir student. I would love for my students to have the same!

A. Pizza! So many varieties!

Q. What’s your favorite part about being a choir teacher?

A. I love making beautiful music with my kiddos! I also love when my students go to college to study Choral Music Education! There is no higher compliment 🙂
