The freshman class co-presidents were selected and now are working hard to help Roncalli be the best it can be.
Freshman co-president Sibana Paw got the position of web promotions, and she talks about her motivation towards becoming one of the co-presidents and why she wanted to be a co-president.
“What I really want to get is to get more involved in Roncalli and to try to have a positive impact,” Paw said, “I don’t want to feel like I had so much time to do things and did so little.”
In addition to Paw’s ambition to be productive, freshman co-president Ava Stone also has reasons to become a co-president.
“I think that leading by example and living out what living a life with Christ is like is most important,” Stone said, “If I can be a leader in the school, then others will look to me as an example. I like to show Christ in my actions, and encourage others to do the same.”
As a co-president there are four positions of leadership, co-president of web promotions Paw focuses her work on social media posts for student council.
“I have to focus on what I have to post and what is appealing to people. Say I’m promoting a Christmas party,” Paw said, “I have to find a way to make the post appealing and make people want to come.”
Freshman co-president of public relations, Kaylee Summers has goals to accomplish before leaving the school.
“I hope that we improve Roncalli to our best ability and get people involved in the student council,” Summers said.
As a freshman co-president of service, Lola Morelli has ideas for helping the freshman class and goals for the next few years.
“My role is inviting people to do their service hours and to go to mass or adoration on the weekends,” Morelli said.
