As Homecoming nears, there is a ton of information to know. The dance will take place on Saturday, September 21st. It will be held from 8-10:50 p.m. Students may arrive at 8:45 p.m. and the earliest they can leave is 10:15 p.m.
Tickets will be sold during lunch periods during the week of September 16th-20th for $10 each.
Students being dropped off or picked up can do that at the circle. Students driving can park in the bubble parking lot.
Dress code for boys includes long pants and collared shirts. The dress code for girls is made up of a dress, shirt/top, or pantsuit.
Adding on this year are two Kona ice trucks and a new tent position. Games will still be in the grass towards the building. This year more games will be offered.
“We are going to orient the tent differently this year to make more room for dancing,” Stuco moderator Mrs. Sarah Rose said.
Stuco has done plenty of planning to prepare for the night. This includes beverages, activities, and set-up.
“We have truly collaborated and decided the pros and cons to the dance before,” junior Anna Cromer said. We also consider the opinions of upperclassmen and the desires of the underclassmen,” Cromer said.
An option that will be available for the ladies is flip-flops. It gives a chance for girls to take their heels off and dance.
“400 pairs of flip-flops are ordered for the dance,” Sarah Rose said.
A lot goes into the planning of the dance. The homecoming game is Friday at 7 p.m. against Guerin Catholic. The theme is vintage red, white, and blue. Class competitions will be going on all week.
